Girls: Learn to Love Yourself

Learning to Love Yourself

This week in GOTR, we’re talking about positive self-talk. What is self-talk? It’s all those little things that you say to yourself in your head or out loud about how you feel about you. A lot of the things we think about ourselves can be kind of negative and make us feel bad about ourselves. Have you ever thought to yourself: “I’m so ugly.” or “I can’t do anything right?” That’s negative self-talk.

We want to replace those Negative Nancy’s with Positive Polly’s! How? Every time you think something negative, make yourself stop and say something positive about yourself. If you’re having trouble, write down what you like about yourself on sticky notes and post them around your room and in your locker at school. Every time you see one of your sticky notes, you’ll remember to be a Positive Polly and not a Negative Nancy.
