Nervous about going back to school?

I was always nervous at the start of every school year. New teacher. New classroom. New grade. Sometimes a new school. All of that can be a lot to handle. So what’s a girl to do?

1)      Get enough sleep – make sure you go to bed and get up at the same times each day – even on the weekends so your body gets used to your school schedule quicker. And make sure you get 8 hours of sleep a night. You need it!

2)      Eat healthy – if you were part of GOTR last season, you know it’s important to eat your fruits, veggies, whole grains, and protein. But did you know you should also try to eat 5-6 times a day. You’re active with GOTR and growing, so make sure you’re giving your body the nutrition it needs. Eat a good breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, and dinner to stay fueled up for all of your activities.

3)      Get moving – exercise makes you feel better, so make sure to walk, run, or play every day, not just GOTR days!
