Who’s excited about Girls on the Run’s Spring season starting up in March? I know I am! March also represents the re-launch of our SoleMates program, which helps us raise money for scholarships for our girls.
Things to think about as you get ready for the upcoming season:
1) Make sure your daughter has a water bottle. It may not be hot now, but come end of season, those temperatures are as likely to be in the 80s and 30s. This is Idaho, after all. J
2) Make sure your daughter has appropriate clothes and shoes. It might be helpful to pack different clothing options in case of mid-day weather changes.
3) Make sure your family makes active time together a priority. Need some ideas? Try one of these:
Parents, there is no excuse not to be active. If you want to be able to run or walk the 5K with your daughter in May, take advantage of our SoleMates program.
