Summer Fun!

July is here and you know what that means! Temperatures rise, tempers flare, and you still have 2 more months until the kids go back to school! What to do? Try these ideas on for some summer fun:

  • Flashlight Tag – a combo of hide and seek and tag, the person who is “it” counts to ten while others others hide. The person who is “it” must find the other players and call their name while shining a light on them to tag them.
  • Backyard camping – How simple is this? Put up a tent, roll out the sleeping bags, and melt marshmallows in the microwave for S’mores. Then if you forget something, no worries! You’re home. 🙂
  • Scavenger Hunt – We do this as a fun activity in GOTR. You can hide items around your house or backyard or give the kids a list of items to find and set them to it.
  • Start Your Own Business – Does your daughter want to try a lemonade stand on for size this summer? Great! There has never been a better time to teach her the value of a dollar.
